Cannes is where the action is right now! Cannes Film Festival, which previews new films of all genres, is currently underway in Cannes, France. The international event kicked off on 14th May and will continue till the 25th of the same month. Indian actresses too joined the glamour brigade of Cannes with eye-catching attire. Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut, Diana Penty and Huma Qureshi are some of the female actors who made their appearances on the coveted red carpet. While they walk the red carpet, they know the world’s glare is on them and so each one of them showed up at their glamourous best. Here are some of their best looks that made us sigh!
Priyanka Chopra
That we were a bit disappointed by Priyanka’s debut outfit at the Cannes 2019 would not be too far from the truth as was visible from the floods of tweets. The desi girl, however, seems to have compensated for the same by her second appearance at the festival. Said to be inspired by Lady Diana’s red carpet look, with the white off shoulder corset and that alluring smile, she kept it classy. The flared white pants along with a white cape undoubtedly added more drama to the dress. As for the hair, she didn’t fail to coordinate them with the classy outfit, she had a bun on one side and let the other half loose.
In her next look, she was seen coordinating with husband Nick Jonas, as she wore a white hat that matched with Jonas’ attire. The shiny blue dress and the silver sash around her waist added to the beauty of the most followed Bollywood celebrity on Instagram. The couple also gives us major relationship goals as Nick Jonas was seen fixing the neck piece on Priyanka’s next dress at the festival. A purple Barbie gown with circular design below the waist, she matched it with silver earrings and simple bun that looked fantastic.

Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone is attending the Cannes Film Festival as an L’Oreal ambassador and is busy proving that Cannes is all about looking different. With a series of unique and stylish dresses, she started her journey at the festival red carpet with a cream coloured dress on which was attached a giant black bow, a bit tilted at the waist. This was paired with exquisite earrings and neat hairstyle. Next, she wore a striped navy and white suit with bright orange sandals and managed to coordinate a look that says ‘uber cool.’ However, soon she changed her attire to an acid green and black ball gown. The dress is said to have been a part of Off-White’s Spring 2019 collection. With it she wore matching sunglasses and a free-flowing hairstyle. Next in the series was a printed gown with yellow and maroon flowers printed on the gown and a black velvet cloth tied around her neck like a bow with some of it flowing freely. Black block heels highlighted the brightness of dress. Next in her look book was a lime green dress with huge frills all over. The dress was matched with a pink turban, pink bow and a pink sash around the waist.

Kangana Ranaut
The saying ‘name is enough’, is something well suited for self-sufficient Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut. The beauty arrived at Cannes in a custom Falguni Shane Peacock India corset and Kanjeevaram saree by Madhurya Creations. Purple gloves and differently draped saree looked perfect with the partially curled hair set to rest at the forehead. Bold and beautiful Kangana enters next in black pants and blazer styled with silver designer lining. Clean hairstyle and dark Kajal is what added to the classic look. Going for a sophisticated look, she next wore an off shoulder gown with Baroque embroidery and partially braided hair with soft curls.
Diana Penty
Diana’s glamorous journey kicked off right from the Chopard party. With the golden skin fit dress, she was seen posing for a photograph at the party. The dress was matched with boots that shimmered with gold and silver design. For the FICCI Forum at the Indian Pavilion, she was seen in a white silk saree draped perfectly and a sash at the waist. Beautiful pearl set added to the beauty of the look and this, combined with the simple bun and blood-red lipstick reflected the allure of a traditional Indian look. Bow seems to have been a common in everyone’s dress as Diana’s next simple black dress too has a giant bow at the top. Again with a bun, Diana slays with her infectious smile. Next in her series of dresses was a floral detective look with black boots and matching earrings. The final appearance was in a yellow feathery dress with wet hair look is what Diana looked out of this world.

Donning a red blazer and a red net skirt, Huma Qureshi attended the Chopard party. Next she was seen in a beautiful white gown with silver embellishment on the top which gave her the look of a princess. A black gown with beautiful black frilly net sleeves suited her in the best possible way.
Sonam K Ahuja
After debuts and reappearances from Hina Khan to Deepika Padukone, Sonam K Ahuja and her sister Rhea Kapoor were seen leaving for Cannes earlier on Sunday. Sonam was seen wearing beige and brown free-flowing and full length dress. The festival is scheduled to end on 25th of May, so we would definitely get to see more looks from Mrs Ahuja.
