Buzz Aldrin, one of the three American astronauts to set foot on the moon in the 1969 mission Apollo 11, took to twitter on Saturday and announce his marriage to longtime lover Dr. Anca Faur on the occasion of his 93rd birthday.
Mr. Buzz Aldrin ties knot and posted pictures with his spouse Dr. Anca Faur aged 63, and stated that they tied the knot in a small ceremony in Los Angeles, California on his 93rd birthday.

Aldrin, the second man to set foot on the moon after Neil Armstrong, shared the news on Twitter, "On my 93rd birthday & the day I will also be honored by Living Legends of Aviation. I am very much pleased to announce that my longtime lover Dr. Anca Faur & I have tied the knot. We were joined in holy matrimony in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles & we are as excited as any eloping teenagers". Former astronaut, Aldrin tweeted.
The Tweet was accompanied by a few pictures from the intimate ceremony, It showed the moonwalker with his new spouse Faur, who belongs from Romania, and currently serves as the executive vice president of Buzz Aldrin Ventures. The images showed Dr. Anca Faur dressed in a beautiful white gown whereas the former astronaut could be seen wearing a black suit with a proper bowtie.

Ever since the post was shared, it accumulated more than 22,000 likes and approximately 1.8 million views so far. Netizens took to the comment section to congratulate the newly wedded couple, once such user jokingly wrote, "you must be over the moon!" Another user wrote, "Congratulations Doctors Aldrin and Faur! I wish you more love, peace, joy and happiness! So happy for you Buzz and Anca!".
Aldrin previously married twice, he tied the knot with his first wife Joan Archer in 1954 with whom the former astronaut has three children named James, Janice, and Andrew, further their marriage ended in a divorce in 1974. After which he got married to his second wife Beverly Van Zile in 1975, But their marriage lasted only three years. After a decade, Aldrin found love in his third wife Lois Driggs Cannon, and they stayed 24 years together before getting divorced in 2012.
Aldrin, who was the Eagle pilot for the Lunar Module of the historic 1969 Apollo 11 mission, walked on the lunar surface for about 19 minutes with Neil Armstrong. Currently, he is the only surviving astronaut among the three that took part in the Apollo 11 mission in 1969.
