BSF Soldier Killed For Protesting Against His Daughter's Video: 10 Things To Know

A Gujarat Border Security Force (BSF) soldier was killed by seven members of a family for protesting against the circulation of his daughter’s obscene video. The accused are now in judicial custody.

A Border Security Force personnel was killed by seven family members in Gujarat when he protested against the circulation of his minor daughter’s objectionable video. Seven people have been arrested in the case. According to the police, one of the accused had made a video of the girl and uploaded it online.

BSF Soldier Killed: 10 Things To Know:

1. A 45-year-old Border Security Force soldier, Melaji Vaghela, was beaten to death in Gujarat after objecting to the publication of the obscene videos of his minor daughter.

2. Vaghela, along with his son and relatives, had gone to the house of Dinesh Jadav at Chaklasi village in Nadiad Taluka on December 24 to speak about the video, which was shot and circulated by Jadav’s son.

3. Following a heated argument, a fight broke out between the two families, and Dinesh Jadav and his family members began attacking Vaghela and his son.

4. The family members of Shailesh Yadav attacked Vaghela and his son with sharp weapons and sticks. Shailesh Yadav, who shot the video, was not present at the house when the incident happened. As a result of the attack, Vaghela died on the spot.

5. Vaghela's son, Navdeep, who suffered serious head injuries, is undergoing medical treatment at the hospital. His wife had also been injured in the fight.

6. According to the FIR, Shailesh Yadav shot an objectionable video of Vaghela’s daughter and uploaded it online, where it was widely circulated within a few days.
7. Shailesh Yadav is Vaghela's daughter's schoolmate, and the two were in a relationship.

8. The FIR was registered by the victim’s wife, Manjulaben, at the Chaklasi police station. Cases have been registered under various Indian Penal Code Sections, including 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult), and 143 (unlawful assembly).

9. The incident was described as a planned murder by Vaghela's wife. She claims that they had just gone to talk to Shailesh and his family, but they attacked Vaghela from behind and thrashed her and her son. She had called her nephew for help, who had informed the police and called an ambulance.

10. All seven accused were arrested and sent to judicial custody on Monday. Further investigations are ongoing.

The BSF is in constant touch with the deceased soldier’s family and is providing them with financial assistance and medical treatment. The BSF is committed to bringing justice to the family.
