If you are an Indian, you will totally relate to this. In Indian households, the broom is the handy weapon of elderly family members to ‘straighten up’ their kids who go wrong. Broom or ‘jhaadu’ beatings have been a part of most of our upbringings. But did you ever know that each hit supplied nutrients to our body? An image of a broom shared on Reddit says so.
Reddit user “Live-Bird8999” on the platform’s “indiameme” subreddit shared a picture of a broom whose packaging had nutritional value listed on it.
The nutrients in the broom
From calories and dietary fibre to stone-ground corn, canola oil, salt, and a trace of lime, everything was written on the packaging.
The caption of the post read “Ye jhaadu mein bhi 159 calory Hote Hai bhai (Broom too has 150 calories)”
This post sent laughter waves through the online world as people burst into humour with their hilarious responses.
Hilarious comments from the users
The Reddit post has garnered 800 votes with the numbers still increasing.

Yet another held on to the broom blows of childhood and said, “Aab pata chala mummy kyu marti thi isse [Now I understand why mom used to hit with this],”
The fourth user also got pn to this trend and wrote, “Relatable, roz ma se khata hun [Relatable, I get it every day by mom].”
While another said, “maine toh bahut khaai hai bachpan mai, phir bhi mota nhi hua.”
While some users related it to broom beatings of childhood, others called it relatable on the basis that if you lose the broom, this is how many calories it will cost.
“Best diet for weight loss,” said an individual.
“This is how much calories you lose upon losing it,” said another user.
“It's actually the amount of calories u will lose while jhaaduing.” Another wrote
While other users just made but funny comments like

While another wrote, "15 servings per container”
