Britney Spears hearing: A judge on Thursday ruled against Britney Spears' father's objection to an earlier order of court about him sharing Britney's conservatorship with Bessemer Trust Co.

Judge Brenda Penny had appointed Bessemer Trust as co-conservator along with Jamie Spears to Britney on Nov. 10. The judge had also denied the Britney Spears request to remove her father from her ownership.

Britney's lawyer then submitted another petition to divide the conservatorship equally between Jamie Spears and the trust. Jamie didn't respond positively to this and objected saying that the proposed order reduced his powers over his daughter. Judge Branda rejected those objections.

Samuel Ingham, Britney's lawyer said, "an equal division of responsibility, in the hopes that they would sit down and figure out together the best way to handle this complex estate for the benefit of my client.”
“It’s no secret that my client does not want her father as co-conservator, but we recognize that removal is a separate issue,” he added.

Ingham had said in November that will come up with another plea for removal of Jamie Spears as Britney conservator. This hearing has followed the controversial documentary on Brtiney Spears which released last week, Framing Britney Spears. The documentary touches upon how media handled Britney Spears over the decade.

Fans who believe that the probate court has restricted Spears against her will stood outside the court Stanley Mosk Courthouse carrying #FreeBritney posters. Reportedly, they also hosted a Zoom meeting to discuss the case during the hearing.
