British journalist Piers Morgan took on transgender model Munroe Bergdorf for the comments that got her fired from L’Oreal, in his first show back after a long break.
In her post Bergdorf had said that “Honestly, I don't have the energy to talk about the racial violence of white people anymore. Yes ALL white people.”

He called the model’s comments ‘rubbish’ and asked “I want you to explain why we shouldn't be offended as white people that all white people are party to social violence.”
Morgan told her that she said white people are racist because they are to some extent socialised into being that way. The same way men are socialised to be sexist and heterosexual people are socialised to be homophobic, she argues.
"I am a white, straight male guy so I'm enemy number one. So I'm a racist, sexist, homophobic by your logic," he countered.
"You are sexist, yes, some of the things you say are sexist," Bergdorf responded.
In the same episode, he criticised John Lewis’ decision to remove gendered labels from its children’s clothing. He said, “why can’t we let boys be boys and girls be girls”. He said that John Lewis was trying to turn the planet gender neutral. And that should not be allowed to happen.
Of course, his highly controversial remarks received a lot of flak from the Twitterati. Here is what some people had to say.

Piers Morgan doesn't have the intelligence or the range to engage in a proper conversation about racism and white supremacy.

I find calling all white people racially violent 'aggressive'. https://t.co/bF2ZpOpG0V

Bergdorf was outraged when L'Oreal fired her for her comments. She said that if L’Oreal wants to offer empowerment to underrepresented women, then they need to acknowledge the reason why these women are underrepresented within the industry, in the first place. This reason is discrimination, she said.
She said that the irony in the case is the company hired her for a beauty campaign which stands for diversity. And then fired her for talking about white privilege.
