This Bride's Entry Turned Out Rather Dramatic, Booked By Pune Police

A 23-year-old bride, who rode to her wedding ceremony on the bonnet while the  SUV on July 13th, was charged for the stunt along with the other three.

Bride on SUV Bonnet: A 23-year-old bride, who rode to her wedding ceremony on the bonnet of the  SUV on July 13th, was charged for the stunt along with the other three as it violated the Motor Vehicle Act. The video was shared on multiple social media platforms.

A police official said that the vehicle was en route to the wedding venue-Saswad and the video was shot as the wedding party travelled on the Pune-Saswad Road along the Diva Ghat.

The official also added that the video which went viral was shot when the woman was sitting on the bonnet of the vehicle while a man on a motorcycle. The police also added that along with the woman, the officials also charged the videographers and the other people in the vehicle including the driver.

"The woman was sitting on the bonnet of the moving vehicle while a man on a motorcycle shot the video. We have charged the woman, the videographer, and other people in the vehicle, including the driver, under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, Disaster Management Act, Maharashtra Covid Regulation Act among others, and the violation of the Motor Vehicle Act," a police official stated

The official also mentioned that none of them were wearing masks, violating Maharashtra's COVID protocol.

The police registered a case against the couple, the resort owner, and the guests after a video from the couple's wedding went viral which displayed a large gathering which goes against the COVID-19 protocols. As per the statement given by Deputy Superintendent of Police Paramjit Singh, the couple was registered under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of the Disaster Management Act.
