As soon as the wedding season in India begins, we see an influx of videos on the bizarreness of it or how a positive change has reflected on the wedding ceremonies of people. It becomes an epitome of what is wrong with our society and what changes have we accepted in the past few years. Sometimes these videos become viral on social media.

Similarly, a video of a woman rejecting to marry a man who is uneducated has taken over the internet. In a video shared by the Bridal Lehenga Designn page on Instagram, a woman in wedding attire with her face covered with ghongat and handling a thick garland around her neck says, "I will not marry."

To this, a man asked, "Why will you not marry?" The woman replies to this by stating that she had already told her family members that she will not marry the man as she is an educated woman who is pursuing a B.Ed. Then she asks, "This man is uneducated, how can I marry him? Will I be happy? You tell."

To which another man asks, "Why did you not say this before?" The woman said that she had told her father about this before but all he was after money. The woman said that she wants someone who is educated and can communicate in English, as well as walk together with her in life. This she said while jerking off the garland of her neck and throwing it on the floor.

The video has gotten more than two thousand likes and netizens have reacted to it in different ways. While some casted doubts about the authenticity of the video, others applauded the girl's decision to follow her choice rather than settle with a man chosen for her by her father.

One user wrote, "Hats off to this girl. Education is the thing that comes first no matter how much wealth a person has. It's commendable that this educated girl is speaking for herself and is adamant about her decision to not marry. This shows India's progress."
