Women entrepreneurs from Jaipur discussed building a brand on social media and turning influencers. Entrepreneurs, designers, startup owners, authors and social media enthusiasts together reflected on what social media in general and Facebook in particular is doing to their businesses and how they could leverage it even more to further business.
Organised by SheThePeople.TV and Facebook, the Jaipur edition of Boost Your Business aimed at engaging with women entrepreneurs and addressing their concerns for easy of doing business online.
The venue, the Diggi Palace Hotel, made for a perfect setting reflecting a confluence of old and the new-age. 260 years old, the hotel's main hall's blue pottery style arch made for a great backdrop to discuss what's driving the future - social media. SheThePeople got together some of the most influential, and interesting names in the city to deliberate on the ease of doing business via social media. "I work from home in Jaipur and I have a limited audience," says Rashmi of Aradhaya Creations a startup that's into personalisation of gifts and services and looks out for potential franchises. "Social media is allowing me to take our business outside of Jaipur, to the entire country. We even do virtual trainings for our partners."
