A day after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) served a notice to Kangana Ranaut for illegal construction at her office in Bandra West, the civic body officials on Wednesday reportedly started demolishing parts of her office citing "structural violations". Kangana is on her way to Mumbai now amid an escalating fight with the Shiv Sena leaders. Earlier, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) approved for Y-plus category security for the actor. As per the latest news, the Bombay High Court has now stayed the BMC's demolition.
A civic team reportedly reached her office, Manikarnika Films Private Limited office, in Bandra’s Pali Hill. Talking about the illegal structure of the building, Vinayak Vispute, Assistant Municipal Commissioner, BMC, said, “We will carry out the demolition work on Wednesday over the structural violations carried out at Ranaut’s office at Pali Hill. Further action will be taken after the demolition process,” Hindustan Times reported.
Reacting to the incident, Kangana took to Twitter and wrote:
There is no illegal construction in my house, also government has banned any demolitions in Covid till September 30, Bullywood watch now this is what Fascism looks like 🙂#DeathOfDemocracy #KanganaRanaut
