It is heartening to know that the F word has stopped haunting our Bollywood actresses now. They don't feel the need to shy away from accepting what should, according to me, come naturally to them. It might take some time for them to open up properly about the importance feminism in their lives, but they have definitely made the first progressive step. Their sartorial choices have started reflecting their ideas about feminism. Isn't it the best way to promote feminism?
Anushka Sharma became the pioneer of the feminist movement by wearing this Dior tee, which read, "We Should All Be Feminists". Interestingly, this was followed by other Bollywood actresses blending in feminism with style.
Shilpa Shetty was seen sporting a blue T-shirt with "Feminist" written large on it. That's quite an interesting way of busting myths which say that pink is for girls and blue for boys. Feminism is devoid of any colours.

Alia shied away from identifying with feminism for the longest time. But now, even she seems to have embraced it. At a recent event, she stepped out wearing a Gaurav Gupta top which read, "F for Feminist".
We like their idea of taking feminism to an entire new level. These leading ladies might not see eye to eye every time, but they have proved that everyone has the same stance when it comes to feminism. It was refreshing to see them in this new avatar. We are, however, waiting for the time when actions will speak louder than words and Bollywood will observe the real transformation it has been waiting for.
