Blackpink member Jennie turns 25 today. Wishes have already started pouring for the K-pop star. Her band members, Rose, Liza and Jisoo took to their respective Instagram handles and wished the star on her big day.
Rose wrote, “Happy birthday to this pretty pretty unni. I hope you have the loveliest birthday, love! Thank you for being a lovely member of Blackpink and a dear unni! I hope 2021 brings you only happiness and love!!!”
Jisoo reacted with a heart emoji on Blackpink’s official Instagram post for the star.

The birthday girl herself took to her Instagram handle and posted a series of photos with the gifts her family, friends and fans had given. Her first picture for the post was a bouquet of blue roses which her mother sends on her birthday. She thanked Blackpink fans, commonly called as ‘Blink’.
Her fans gave her a gift earlier than birthday as recently her song, SOLO crossed 600 million views on YouTube. She became the first female South Korean artist to reach this mark. The song is a hip-hop number written by Teddy which talks about independence after a breakup.

About Jennie
Jennie Kim or Jennie was born in South Korea on January 16, 1996. She is the only child of her parents. During her childhood, she moved to Auckland, New Zealand, where she spent five years. She was a student at ACG Parnell College. During her time abroad, she learned to speak fluent English apart from basic Japanese and fluent Korean.
In 2010, Jennie moved to back to Seoul, South Korea and auditioned in YG Entertainment in the same year. It was a successful audition and she became a YG trainee for six years.
She became the main rapper and lead vocalist of the girl group, Blackpink in 2016. The band debuted on August 8, 2016.

Entering the K-pop industry in 2016, the girl band has given many hits. The group became the fastest musical act to assume the No. 1 position on Billboard’s World Digital Songs chart with their debut album Square One’s song “Boombayah”. In 2018, it became the highest-charting K-pop girl group on Billboard courtesy their single “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” and the EP Square Up.
