The women's wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a Mahila Morcha outside the office of Aurangabad district collector in order to oust Maharashtra minister Dhananjay Munde from his position. The minister has been accused of rape by a singer who had issued a written complaint to the Mumbai police commissioner on January 10.
The protesters say that Maharashtra's Maha Vikas Aghadi government has done little to deliver justice to women. Dhananjay Munde who is the Social Justice minister of Maharashtra has refuted these allegations. He even went on to say that the complainant and her sister are trying to blackmail him.
Protests are also erupting in Thane, Pune and Nagpur too. Mrinal Pendse who is in-charge of BJP's Women's Wing's Thane unit said that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray must fire NCP's Munde.
