BJP Leader Priyanka Tibrewal Claims To Be Conspiracy Target, Files Complaint With Police

Priyanka Tibrewal, a BJP leader in West Bengal, has approached the Commissioner of Police regarding threats and calls that she has been receiving lately and attempts to frame her in a false case by putting an illegal substance in her car.

The leader wrote a letter to the DCP of Kolkata regarding the incident and asked the authorities to look into the matter. The alleged attempts, conspiracy and threats happened during her visit to Siliguri, West Bengal for political campaigning from February 2 to February 6, 2022. And when the people involved in the conspiracy failed in their attempts, they threatened her on social media, Tibrewal claimed.

In the letter that the politician wrote to the DCP, Kolkata, she mentioned that she had earlier written a letter to the Commissioner of Police on February 2, 2022 regarding the issue. She claimed that an unidentified person planted illegal substances in her car. In the latest letter that she wrote, she mentioned the timeline of the incidents that took place.

Tibrewal talked about the matter an interview and said, "I have written to Commissioner of Police, DCP, Kolkata DC regarding threatening call and audio message in which some people are conspiring to implicate me in a false case by putting some illegal substance in my car."

Reportedly, on her visit to Siliguri for political campaign, there were attempts to secretly slip in illegal substances in her car but because she had already informed the police authorities regarding it, they cooperated with her and ensured that no illegal incidents took place and her visit completed peacefully. However, on February 5, she received a threat on WhatsApp with an attached voice note.

The voice note was reportedly a conversation between two people who confirmed the conspiracy against her and were deciding on the execution of a new plan to frame her falsely. They talked about a potential person who can do the task of planting illegal substance in her car for which they will pay him one lakh rupees. Tibrewal asked help from the police authorities to take proper measures against these people who want to stop her from doing her work.
