Raj Kundra Fraud Case: Amid the pornography scandal, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Ram Kadam has made serious allegations against Raj Kundra accusing him of physically harassing a female model and being party to a fraud of Rs 3,000 crore.
During a press conference conducted on Friday, Ram Kadam said, "On April 14, 2021, a famous model-cum-actress complained of physical harassment against Raj Kundra at the Juhu Police station. But the application wasn’t moved ahead and there was pressure on the model."
"The government has to answer who were these people who put pressure on the actress and why no action was taken against Raj Kundra.”
He added that Raj Kundra's company Viaan Industries Limited had initiated an online game called 'Game of Dot' which allegedly collected crores from distributors and later cut off all communication.
Kadam alleged that Kundra attracted distributors for his online game by keeping his wife and actor Shilpa Shetty in the front. Accusing Viaan Industries of cheating people by keeping a front of legitimate business, Kadam asked for action taken against Kundra and others. He said, "If no action is taken against the culprits, we will approach the Mumbai police commissioner and home minister. We also want to understand how has this government tolerated the injustice and fraud committed on the people of Maharashtra."
According to a report by India Today, a distributor named Raju Nayak claimed that he invested a sum of Rs 10 lakhs with his friends in the online game expecting a handsome return since but was allegedly cheated by Viaan Industries.
"We only met the manager who told us about the game. But after three months, we realised that we have been cheated. We went many times to meet the concerned people, but couldn’t find any official. After that we approached the police as well and were promised the return of our money, but nothing happened and instead a complaint was registered against us," he said.
Another distributor Santosh More reportedly invested seven lakh rupees two years ago and hasn't got his money back. " We were promised big screens and computers and also promised that we could get our money back when we wanted. But soon, we released that there was something wrong and we asked for our money but were pushed out of the offices and it’s been more than two years now that we haven’t got our money back, " he alleged.
