Bihar: Girl Abandoned By Father, Completes Tenth Standard Scoring 99 In CBSE

The officials acknowledged that Term 1 examinations received 30% weighting and Term 2 exams received 70% weighting.

In Bihar, a girl who was abandoned by her father as a child, after her mother's death, earned a score of 99.4% on her Class 10 exam in which the child proved the adage that hard work always pays off. Varun Gandhi, the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), tweeted about a Bihar girl's perseverance. He shared a video of the girl sitting with her maternal grandma, who was seen beaming with pride at the youngster's accomplishment.

Remarking that the girl's achievement was a tale of sacrifice and dedication, Varun Gandhi tweeted out a video of her grandmother and herself. His caption read, "The daughter, who left her father's side after her mother's shadow, created history by doing the culmination of hard work at her maternal grandparents' house. A daughter securing 99.4% marks in 10th shows that talent does not seek opportunities. I can be of any use to you, I will be lucky."

The youngster's maternal grandmother claimed in the video that she had raised the girl and that her father, who had abandoned her, should have regretted his actions. She felt really fortunate and thrilled to have such a talented lady as her daughter and live with her. She went on to say that after her daughter passed away, her father remarried, leaving the girl all by herself.

The girl’s maternal grandmother said, “I raised her and he (the father of the girl who abandoned her) should regret his decision. Today I am very happy and happy that so is one of my daughter’s talented girls and she lives with me. Her father remarried someone else after my daughter died and he left the girl alone.”

On July 22, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the Class 10 Term 2 test results on its official websites, results. The region that performed the highest was Trivandrum, where 99.68 per cent of class 10 exams were passed. With a pass rate of 82.23 percent, Guwahati is last. 20,93,978 students registered for the exam, and 19,76,668 (94.40 percent) of them passed. From April 26 to May 4, the board exams for class 10 were administered. The officials acknowledged that Term 1 examinations received 30% weighting and Term 2 exams received 70% weighting.
