Bhonga Teaser Out Starring Dipti Dhotre and Amol Kagne

The Marathi feature film Bhonga teaser is out now. The film stars Dipti Dhotre and Amol Kagne in lead roles.

The movie talks about the relation between the loudspeaker and religion in a village. The film is produced by Amol Laxman Kagne along with the director himself  Shivaji Lotan Patil and Arun Hiraman Mahajan. The solo poster of Amol Kagne was revealed in August 2019.

At 66th National Film Awards, Bhonga won the Best Marathi Film award in the feature film category. Its initial release date was in 2018. But it was delayed because of many reasons including the pandemic and is now going to be released on September 24.

In the film, the family shifts to a house behind a mosque due to financial difficulties. They have a  baby in the family who is diagnosed with a chronic disease named Cerebral hypoxia. Further, the noise from the loudspeakers at the mosque and the temple tends to disturb the baby.

The family then requests the mosque and temple authorities to change the direction of the loudspeaker. in the teaser, some people do agree to change the direction stating that the child is more important while others don't feel so.

In the one-minute-long teaser, the topic of a loudspeaker related to religious activities is seen being discussed by the villagers. Different people of the village have a different take on what should happen with the loudspeaker. In the village, the loudspeaker is used for playing the Aazaan and Kirtan on the loudspeaker.

Further, there are some villagers who argue about the dependency of religion on human life. They raise the questions like is religion there for humans or are humans there for religion? They also tend to take two sides in the debate whether the baby is more important than announcing the Aaazan on the loudspeaker or not?
