A Bhojpuri singer was arrested on Thursday for allegedly raping and posting objectionable pictures of a minor girl on social media, said police.
The accused identified as Abhishek (21), is also known as Babul Bihari, and is a native of Bihar. He has more than 27,000 followers on his YouTube channel.

According to the police, the accused lived in the Rajiv Nagar area where he met the 13-year-old victim and lured her into a friendship. After befriending her, he took her to a hotel room, where he raped her and took her objectionable pictures.
After the incident, the minor distanced from the accused rapist and did not talk about the incident to anyone.
When the sick accused posted the minor's pictures on Instagram a few days ago, the girl's family confronted her and she confessed to the nasty crime. Parents rushed the minor victim to the police and where the complaint was lodged against Bihari.
A case has been registered against the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The statements of the minor girl were also recorded.
A senior police officer Subhash Boken informed that the accused was arrested within hours when the FIR was registered and was produced to a city court after which he is sent into judicial custody.
