Beyonce is the highest earning female artiste of 2017, according to Forbes magazine.
She made $105 million between June 1, 2016, and June 1, 2017. Her album 'Lemonade' was a huge success and she went on a world tour. The popstar also took a sabbatical this year to give birth to her twins Rumi and Sir Carter.
The second highest female earner in music is Adele, who made $69 million. Taylor Swift is at third place, having earned $44 million. Her new album 'Reputation' released earlier this month and is the highest selling album of 2017. Celine Dion made $42 million and Jennifer Lopez made $38 million. 71-year-old Dolly Parton also made $37 million and toured across 63 dates in a year.
There were twice as many men than women in the list of music’s top earning stars, according to Forbes.

Forbes compiled the list after estimating pretax income for stars based on interviews with managers, agents, lawyers and even with some of the stars. It also looked at data from the Pollstar, the Recording Industry Association of America and tracking firm Nielsen SoundScan.
