A woman was detained after stabbing her lover following a fight in Bengaluru. The victim was brutally stabbed in the abdomen and injured by the woman, who immediately fled from the scene.
A woman identified as Jintu Das stayed with her 16-year-old daughter in the Jigani neighbourhood of the city. She separated from her husband in 2020. The boyfriend is identified as Jogesh Pegu. The couple has been dating for two years. The couple had moved to the city from Assam. Das allegedly stabbed her boyfriend during a heated argument and escaped from the spot. The police officials from Vivek Nagar station have arrested her.

The man was taken to the hospital by the neighbours and is undergoing treatment, but is said to be in critical condition. According to the reports, after the divorce, Das lived with her 16-year-old daughter and worked as a caretaker at a daycare center. She met Pegu, who worked as a security man about two years ago, through a mutual connection. Both began dating and over time Das helped him with his finances.
According to police, the couple had been fighting for months over financial issues. Pegu's ignorance and cheating angered the accused the most. Das grew suspicious and caught him with another woman.
On July 21, she went to his house in Ejipura, and they both got into a fight and the situation got out of control. She became furious, picked up a knife from the kitchen, and stabbed him in anger. Das attempted to flee to Assam after the incident, but the police detained her from one of her relative's homes in Wilson Garden. During the investigation, she confessed her crime and revealed Pegu's ignorance and how he has been cheating on her.
