A Bengaluru woman might be on to a thriving startup idea, as she set up profiles for a room on several dating apps to find a tenant who could replace her. Karuna Tata posted about her innovative idea on X (Twitter), saying, "Is this a startup idea or a peak Bengaluru moment in desperate times?... @Tinder_India please make this happen." Finding a roommate or tenant has become increasingly difficult in Tier 1 cities like Bengaluru, owing to the rising housing prices, but Karuna Tata is one step ahead in her hunt.

Not only did Tata think of an out-of-the-box idea, but she also set up an irresistible and humourous profile for the room on the dating apps. She named the 3BHK flat "Kholi Chaar Sau Bees," (Room number 420) quoting the famous song from the Bollywood film Amar Akbar Anthony. Although she did get quite a few right swipes to laud her creativity, the flat in Singasandra has yet to find its true match.

Dating Profile For Room

Karuna Tata's resourcefulness won the internet's praise and curiosity. The 22-year-old made the profile as close to a human's profile as possible, with a hilarious bio, not devoid of essential details of the flat. The room's bio reads, "I live in Singasandra. Yes, close to Bengaluru's traffic-jammed lane, where supermarkets and pharmacies are nearby." (Translated from Hindi)

Further, the room also says, "No restrictions on veg/non-veg, and we all like to bring friends," adding that social smokers and partygoers are most welcome. When it comes to the look of the room, Tata wrote, "Queen of aesthetics, just add fairy lights," in the 3BHK profile's bio.

Replying to a few curious comments under the X post, Tata said, "Well nothing worked, so I am really hoping for a change with this personal touch this time," talking about the struggle to find a replacement tenant by conventional means.

What Are 'Peak Bengaluru' Moments?

As people from several parts of the country throng Bengaluru for work, the struggle of living in the IT-dominated cosmopolis has been coming to light more and more every day on social media. Recently, another Bengaluru woman's X post about a bike-taxi driver, who works an IT job in the day, made headlines. "Anything can happen in this city," she wrote.

Another Bengaluru woman's post on a Facebook group went viral, as she listed a water dispenser for Rs 41,000. "Moving out of Bangalore so selling," she stated in the caption. More such idiosyncratic Bengaluru moments have been gaining popularity on social media recently.
