Bengaluru Girl Student Was Allegedly Murdered By Two Boys On A Bike

Yet another case of murder has been reported from Karnataka’s capital city, Bengaluru where a 20-year-old girl student was allegedly murdered on Tuesday evening. The girl was from Yelahanka college and was allegedly attacked by 2 boys riding a motorbike, while she was walking her way back home on the outskirts of Bengaluru.

The girl is identified as Rashi, a local resident of Shanboganahalli and a student of the Yehlahanka college who was pursuing a BA in 1st year. The incident reportedly happened when the girl was on her way back home from college. The accused boys are yet to be identified. After the case, people from around the locality and the family members of students from the college are under much stress and are enraged regarding the safety of the students.

As per the reports, Rashi left her college in the evening and took a bus on her way back home, and got off the bus near Dibbur, where she was attacked by two boys riding a bike, they slashed her throat with a sharp object and fled the scene leaving her behind bleeding on the road. The reason why they committed this crime is still unknown, and the local police department has filed a case regarding the incident. They stated that a probe has been initiated to investigate the murder case and to ensure that justice is served.

Recently, on January 2, a similar incident occurred where a 19-year-old girl identified as Layasmitha a first-year engineering student was allegedly stabbed to death by accused boy Pawan Kalyan who is said to be her distant cousin. This incident happened at Presidency College, Bengaluru.

According to the reports, the accused was from another college the alleged reason behind his committing this crime was a grudge he held against the girl because she rejected his proposal as she was in love with someone else, according to Layasmitha’s mother the boy was forcing her to get married to him, although she was not willing to. The accused reportedly even tried to kill himself with the same knife after stabbing the girl but was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and is battling for his life.
