Who Are Neel and Trina Bhattacharya?
Neel and Trina Bhattacharya (nee Saha), who joined the TMC, are newlyweds. They tied the knot only this year in February at a ceremony that saw many notable faces in attendance, including Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
The couple has known each other for 11 years, they say. They met during college, where they started talking and ultimately romance brewed.
On how the two confessed their feelings for each other, Trina says, "In June 2017, on his birthday night, I told him directly, ‘Listen I really like you and everything and if you do then we can go ahead with this otherwise we should stop talking. Then he went into an awkward silence for six months. Finally, in January, on my birthday, he told me."
They both have careers in television, having appeared together in shows like Khoka Babu, Thik Jeno Love Story, Koler Bou, and Krishnakoli.
