Bollywood Singer Kanika Kapoor tested positive for COVID 19, thus becoming the first in the Indian film industry to have been infected with the global pandemic. She was detected positive for coronavirus with three others in Uttar Pradesh, taking the number of COVID-19 patients in the state to nine, as per reports. She had recently returned from the United Kingdom and allegedly hid her travel history from the authorities.
Kanika Kapoor is known for her chartbusters, Jacqueline-starrer 'Chittiyaan Kalaaiyaan' and Sunny Leone- starrer 'Baby Doll'.

Anurag, her brother confirmed, "Yes she had gone to London, and after coming back she complained of sore throat and flu. We got her tested and it's come positive." The news has not been confirmed but there are claims that Kapoor stayed in Delhi after returning from London to attend a lavish party with over 100 guests, before proceeding to her hometown, Lucknow. Concerning this, her brother has said, "All these are rumors to malign her image. Who throws a party at this time? Please put an end to this rumor."
