Wrestler Babita Phogat is all set to tie the knot with Vivek Suhag after the couple got her family’s approval. This Commonwealth Games champion wrestler had tweeted about it on Tuesday.
In the tweet the to-be groom, Vivek Suhag can be seen seeking blessings from her father, Maharvir Singh Phogat. Captioning the tweet, the wrestler wrote: “@SuhagVivek you know it’s official when you get the blessing from my bapu. It’s time for Dilwale to take her Dulhaniya.”

The couple is expected to tie the knot before the end of this year.
According to Vivek Suhag’s social media profile, he was the winner of last year’s Kesari Award.
Babita Phogat is the younger of the two Phogat sisters on which the movie Dangal was made. Geeta Phogat is the elder one. In the movie Dangal the character of Geeta Phogat were played by Zaira WAsim (young Geeta) and by Fatima Sana Shaikh (elder Geeta). Babita Phogat’s character was played by Suhani Bhatnagar (young Babita) and by Sanya Malhotra (elder Babita). Their on screen father was Aamir Khan, who was playing the character of Maharvir Phogat.
Babita Phogat has bagged gold medals at the 2014 and the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She also won the bronze medal in the 2012 World Wrestling Championship.
Babita Phogat has been able to put India on the map for the sport of wrestling and has shown people what it means to be determined and to follow one’s dreams.
