Arzoo Govitrikar divorce: Actor Arzoo Govitrikar has filed for divorce from her husband Siddharth Sabharwal. She said she was unable to bear the abuses, violence and infidelity anymore.

In 2019, the actor had also filed a case of domestic violence against Sabharwal. Govitrikar is popularly known for her performance in the 2003 movie Baghban and the daily soap Naagin 2.

- Talking to a leading daily, Govitrikar confirmed that she has filed for a divorce. "Enough is enough and I am not going to take this lying down anymore," she said. The actor tried her best to "swallow her pride," but she cannot anymore.
- She had not revealed anything to the media so far even when she received calls from journalists two years back. However, she finally talked about the alleged torture she faced at the hands of Sabharwal.
- Allegedly, her husband pulled her by the neck and tried to throw her out of the flat. He would reportedly slap her and kick her in the stomach. She claimed there were days when he would thrash her so hard that she would not step out to conceal her bruises from the public eye.
- Allegedly, Sabharwal first raised his hand on her two years after their marriage and he started drifting away from her after the birth of their son.
- Later Govitrikar found that he reportedly had a Russian girlfriend with whom he would chat regularly. She confronted him about her but does not know if they are still together because he lives separately.
- The Dreams actor claimed that she has the proof of their conversations and the CCTV footage of the violence meted to her. She believes that it would help her in getting justice.
- She further accused him of hurling 'casteist abuses' and said that she started suffering 'blackouts' as a result.
- Reportedly, Sabharwal has refused to make any statement about the case. "Let Arzoo say what she wants. I don't want to say anything," he said to the same daily.
- In a domestic violence case filed against Sabharwal in 2019, Govitrikar claimed that she had an argument with him over his alleged 'alcohol consumption'. After that he allegedly dragged her inside the bathroom and hit her mercilessly. Reportedly, she also submitted the CCTV footage to the police in support of the complaint.
- Sabharwal was booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, namely Sections 498A (cruelty), 323 (causing hurt), 504 (insult with intention to provoke breach of peace), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 509 (insulting woman’s modesty).
