As per reports, the couple said that their marching together on the Kartavya Path is just a coincidence. Captain Supreetha said that first she went through a selection test and got selected. Later, her husband too cleared the test and got selected from his regiment. Major Blaize is from the Madras Regiment and Captain Supreetha is from the Corps of Military Police Contingent.

More about the army couple

Captain Supreetha is from Mysore, Karnataka and a graduate of Jss Law College of Mysore. Major Blize on the other hand belongs to Wellington in Tamil Nadu and graduated from Jain University in Bengaluru.

Major Blaize talked about how the duo took part in the NCC during their college days. He said that in 2016, his wife walked down the Kartavya Path as a part of the NCC Cadet during the Republic Day parade. Major Blaize marched down the path in 2014 as a part of the NCC Republic Day Parade

"This was also one of the motivating factors for me to lead my regiment in the Republic Day 2024 at Kartavya path and make my regiment proud," he added.

"We are posted at different places and this is one such opportunity that both of us are getting to spend time together for these two months in New Delhi. It is a very proud moment for both of us that we are here with our respective contingents," said Captain Supreetha CT.
