Arjun Rampal's Sister Komal Summoned By NCB Today In Drug Probe

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Mumbai has summoned Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal's sister, Komal Rampal, today. Komal, who was a Miss India finalist in 1994, was asked to appear before the investigating agency in connection to the ongoing probe in the drugs case. She is expected to appear at the NCB office at 11:00 am today.

Along with his girlfriend and live-in partner Gabriella Demetriades, Arjun was also questioned by the agency in November and December last year. According to Sameer Wankhede, Zonal Director of NCB, Mumbai, “There was a discrepancy in Arjun Rampal’s statement. He can be called for questioning once again."

The summons came a few days after the NCB investigation findings revealed alleged discrepancies in a prescription for a tablet submitted by Arjun Rampal. The actor had claimed that the medicines recovered from his home belonged to his dog and sister. 45-year-old Komal is an ex-air hostess and a businesswoman.

On January 1, 2021, Arjun had said that he has never been on the "wrong side of the law". In a lengthy Instagram post, the Raajneeti actor wrote, "I would like to assure each and every one of you that I am well aware of my responsibility as a celebrity, a father and a citizen of a country I love dearly that I have never been on the wrong side of the law. You all have nothing to fear or speculate as I have done nothing wrong. I love you all and going forward we shall only spread love and peace together. There is no room for any negativity in our space."

Meanwhile, Rampal's live-in partner Demetriades, who is a model and an entrepreneur, denied having any connection with the drug-related matter as well. During her interrogation, she reportedly said the couple had never consumed or peddled drugs.
