The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday questioned actor Arjun Rampal as a part of its ongoing probe into alleged drug abuse in Bollywood. The actor's girlfriend and live-in partner Gabriella Demetriades had also visited the NCB office in Mumbai for the second round of questioning on Thursday. She was interviewed for two consecutive days.

Rampal was summoned after his Bandra residence was raided by the NCB on November 9.

The agency also arrested Rampal's friend Paul Bartel, a 33-year-old South African model, on Thursday in the same case.

Gabriella Demetriades distanced herself from brother Agisilaos
Demetriades, who is a model and an entrepreneur, denied having any connection with the drug-related matter. During her interrogation on Thursday, she reportedly said the couple had never consumed or peddled drugs. The officials will be recording her statements on Friday as well.
NBC, which is probing the case of alleged drug nexus in Bollywood for the last few months, had questioned her related for almost six hours each on Wednesday and Thursday. According to CNN, she reportedly broke off her relationship with her brother Agisilaos Demetriades after he was arrested last month by the NCB. Agisilaos was allegedly "dealing in a variety of drugs. Electronic evidence showed that he was in touch with Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda, who are linked with accused Rhea and Showik Chakraborty,” an officer told Hindustan Times.

Producer’s wife held
Notably, NCB has arrested around 20 people in the alleged Bollywood-drugs nexus case linked with Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. On November 8, the NCB team had raided filmmaker Firoz Nadiadwala’s house which was followed by the arrest of his wife, Shabana Saeed. “We conducted a major strike in Western Mumbai and Navi Mumbai where we recovered ganja in commercial quantity, Mephedrone, and other different drugs. We also intercepted five peddlers and based on that we conducted and recovered some drugs today morning from his house which was supposed to be part of the same seizure,” an officer confirmed to ETimes. She was granted bail by a Mumbai court on November 10.
