Arjun Rampal and his girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades have been summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on November 11 for questioning in the ongoing investigation into Bollywood's alleged drug nexus. After Deepika Padukone, The NCB has summoned Rampal and his partner after conducting a raid at the actor's Mumbai home and office on Monday (November 9). Rampal joins the burgeoning list of name from the Hindi film industry that have come up in the ongoing drug probe related to the death of 34-year-old actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

NCB conducted raid at the premises of Arjun Rampal today & summoned him on 11th November to join the investigation, in connection with a drug-related case.
According to news reports, after the raid, Rampal's driver was detained and questioned by the agency. As per NCB, they raided Rampal's home and office for eight-long hours and seized his iPad, laptop, few mobile phones, and some electronic gadgets.
Last month, in the drugs case, Gabriella's brother, Agisialos Demetriades was arrested by the NCB. He was later granted bail by a special court but the agency took him into custody again.
The news of Rampal's summon also comes a day after Bollywood producer Firoz Nadiadwala's house was raided as well. "We have arrested Firoz Nadiadwala's wife under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Further investigation is on," NCB Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede said.

Earlier, a former Dharma Productions employee Kshitij Prasad was also arrested by the NCB in the same case. Both Agisialos and Kshitij Prasad were allegedly getting supplies from drug peddler Omega Godwin, a Nigerian national, who was also arrested for the supply of cocaine in Mumbai. He has been remanded in NCB custody for three days. Reportedly, this is the same person who supplied drugs to Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik and others arrested in the Rajput case. The 34-year-old actor died on June 14, 2020. CBI began probing the drug angle in his death case soon after.

Several prominent women actors like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh have been summoned by NCB for questioning in the past few months. Padukone's former manager Karishma Prakash has been summoned again by the agency on November 10. NCB had raided Prakash's home in Versova on October 27 and found 1.7 grams of Hashish and three vials of CBD oil from her residence.
