Actress and producer Anushka Sharma, who is pregnant with her first child, returned to sets to complete pending shoots in Mumbai. In an interview, Sharma revealed that she will be "back to my shoots after I deliver my child." Acing the role of a producer in OTT format with Paatal Lok and Bulbbul, Sharma is expecting her first child with her husband Virat Kohli in January 2021. Speaking about her post-childbirth plan, the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actress said that she will "establish a system at home that ensures I can balance time between my child, home and professional life. I intend to keep working for as long as I live because acting truly makes me happy.”

Sharma told ETimes that her entire team has been "soaking in the madness of the shoot" and added that she is always happy to restart work with the "same amount of passion and energy."

Sharma was recently named in Fortune India’s Top 50 Most Powerful Women 2020. Talking about her recent experience on the set during the COVID-19 pandemic she said, “I had to be sure that the sets are going to be a safe place to shoot because I would be shooting during the pandemic. Though I was looking forward to shooting again, I was also careful that all the precautions were being taken. I’m thankful to everyone for following all the necessary steps for me to shoot. The virus is here to stay and we have to embrace the new normal and deal with coronavirus with the strictest precautions, which is what I have done."

Meanwhile, Kohli recently opened up about his decision to take paternity leave amidst India's tour of Australia. He said that he will only play the first test match of the Australia series and will return to India to be with his wife. "I wanted to be back home in time to be with my wife for the birth of our first child and it is a very very special and very very beautiful moment in our lives and something I truly want to experience," the Indian skipper said, also adding, "That was the reason behind my decision which was communicated to the selectors during the selection meeting."
