Anushka Sharma has recently joined hands with the list of the Bollywood celebrities who are endorsing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
"I am honoured to be a part of #SwachhBharat campaign and will do my best for the noble initiative of #SwachhataHiSeva," Anushka tweeted with the invitation.

The actress said that it is an honour to be a part of the initiative. Also, the 29-year-old star shared the invitation letter she received from the PMO office.

Further, the invitation read, "In the coming days, we will commemorate Gandhi Jayanti. An inspiration to billions across generations and borders, Mahatma Gandhi recognised that our attitude towards cleanliness also reflects our attitude towards society. Bapu believed in achieving cleanliness through community participation..."
"Bapu also strongly believed that 'swachhata' is for each one of us to practise. Inspired by the noble thoughts and a faith in the spirit of 125 crore Indians, let us pledge towards cleanliness."
Also, the document also indicated a specific mantra of 'Swachhata Hi Seva' for the actor and the community to live on. "A clean India is the most noble service we can do to the poor, downtrodden and the marginalised."

PM Modi recently celebrated his birthday as he turned 67 and Anushka took to Twitter to wish him.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is an important initiative by the central government. It was launched by the PM on 2 October 2014. Under this, the government aims to achieve an Open-Defecation Free India by October 2019. Also, 2nd October 2019 will mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. So far, Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Aamir Khan and Vidya Balan are part of the campaign.
