Kashyap summoned
Last week, Ghosh openly alleged that Kashyap “forced himself” on her during an encounter in 2014. She further alleged that he had sexually harassed her in 2014. Out of anger, Ghosh also threatened to sit on a hunger strike if no action was taken against Kashyap.
The Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi actress Ghosh blamed Kashyap of sexual harassment and told ANI, “Five years ago I met Anurag Kashyap regarding work. He called me to his house. When I went there, he took me to a separate room and tried to sexually assault me. He forced himself on me.”
Since then, many women in Bollywood have spoken out in filmmaker Kashyap’s defence. Denying Ghosh’s allegations, the filmmaker responded on Twitter, claiming that they were “baseless”. “I neither behave like this nor do I ever tolerate this at any price,” he said.
Ghosh has recently questioned the slow process of the investigation and asked the Versova police why the accused has not been arrested even after she registered a case against him. Tagging PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah, she wrote on Twitter, “I have put down a case against a culprit who even others are convicting of similar acts and I am the one who is grilled and questioned. While the alleged and the guilty is chilling at his home. Will I get justice sir”

On Tuesday, she had a meeting with Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to discuss "the situation and the next steps". Taking to her Twitter handle, Payal wrote that the Governor has supported her. She wrote:
Had a great meeting with honorable @maha_governor Shri @BSKoshyari Sir 🙏🏼. He had supported me and we have to go all the way. The naysayers will be there but I will not stop, not stop and not stop. Bring it on!! pic.twitter.com/76OANU9x5Y

FIR against Anurag Kashyap
Reportedly, the actress filed an FIR against Kashyap last week at the Versova Police Station in Mumbai and blamed that he "stripped off in front of her and tried to molest her". Later, the actress' lawyer mentioned that "an FIR has been lodged against accused of the offense rape, wrongful restrain, wrongful confinement and outraging the modesty of woman -- U/S 376(1), 354, 341, 342 of IPC."
Ghosh requested the authorities to “take action and let the country see the demon behind this creative guy. I am aware that it can harm me and my security is at risk. I am seeking action against him.” In addition, her lawyer told IANS, "We have lodged FIR and we have not received any response from Kashyap. We do not want any response but we want the police to arrest him."
Earlier, Ghosh demanded justice, saying, “I have risked my career to talk about this. It takes courage to speak about such a traumatic experience. Would request everyone to not fear and come out and speak,” TOI reported. She also claimed that her life is in danger after accusing filmmaker Kashyap of sexual misconduct. Furthermore, the actress has also demanded Y-category security for herself.
