Chief executive officer of the Singapore-based startup, Zilingo, Ankiti Bose, speaks about seeking a protection order against a Twitter user. Saying that the user had accessed and shared her photos, chats, and documents without her consent, Bose finds the matter damaging.
“My personal photos, chats, documents, and records may have all been improperly accessed and circulated without my consent and now I have seen versions of them on the internet, which are clearly fake, but damaging. I don't know who is doing this," Bose wrote in an Instagram post.

On March 31, the company placed Bose under suspension following complaints of alleged discrepancies in the company accounts. The e-commerce fashion platform eliminated her employment after an investigation into the claims of what it deemed as “serious financial irregularities.” The company, however, did not explain further about Bose or the findings of the audit team.
Ankiti Bose, 30, maintains that she has not seen the complaints lodged against her. She said, "I still have not seen the complaints that have purportedly been lodged against me. I have not seen the report used to end me. I have suffered the indignity of being fired by email by the company that I had founded.”
Bose also said that she has sought legal protection because, according to her, there can be “elements” who might benefit by intimidating her. Earlier, Bose had said that she and her family were constantly receiving threats online.
Bose added that she had sought legal protection because she was afraid of “elements out there” who might benefit from intimidating and maligning her. They can “weaponise” the social media and she had tried to let go of who tweets about her or portrays her in a bad light online, but she draws the line at rape threats, added Bose.
