The Bad Salsa team of Kolkata girl Sonali Majumdar, and her dance partner Maraju Sumanth have moved to the finals of America’s Got Talent season 15.
The song that led them to the finals was from the famous Telugu movie Iddarammayilatho, called Top Lesi Poddi, featuring Allu Arjun and Catherine Tresa. "It feels almost like it's on fast-forward because it is lightning speed," said judge Heidi Klum, about the duo's performance.

They booked a ticket to the finale of America's Got Talent.

Majumdar and Sumanth rose to fame when they impressed the judges and viewers with their stellar salsa performance on Tattad Tattad from the film Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela, and reached the semi-finals of the show.
Who is Bad Salsa?
15-year-old Majumdar comes from a poor family, her father works as a farmer in West Bengal. She has previously featured on India’s Got Talent in 2012, when she was just seven-years-old.
In a video shared on their Instagram handle earlier, Majumdar had revealed that her father is a poor farmer, who hails from Sholoardari, who earns a mere dollar per day to feed his family.

She has also participated in Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions. Sonali had appeared on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in 2013 as well, and finished as the second runner-up. In 2017, she teamed up with 20-year-old Sumanth and they appeared on the television series Dance Champions. The dancing duo has won hearts for their unique interpretation of salsa to Bollywood songs such as Dhating Naach from the film Phata Poster Nikhla Hero. One of their videos has over 4.2 million views on Facebook and is being widely shared across social media sites. The duo practices their dance moves at the Bivash Academy of Dance (BAD), Kolkata.
