Ananya took up strumming the guitar while during her stint at Oxford University where she studied economics and management for her undergraduate degree programme. "I found my passions for start-ups and music over there. I used to go around gigging in Brixton and other places. What Oxford taught me was of course education is important but also life lessons. So how to live independently, how to think independently and how you view your life.”

Talking about her favourite guitars, of course she picks acoustic over electric any day. Acoustic “hits the soul,” she insists. She has grown up listening to acoustic, and so that is what she likes to play. Music and microfinance are two things she is passionate about and so managing time and striking a balance are on top of her to-do list. “In London, I used to just play my own songs on the guitar but now with everything coming together, it’s a little hectic so I have prioritized things and one of them is my upcoming music release.”
