Alexander Wang sexual assault case: Fashion designer Alexander Wang, who had previously been accused of sexual misconduct by several men and transgender models, is facing fresh allegations of sexual assault. A 21-year-old student from New York's Parsons School of Design alleged recently that he was assaulted by Wang at the Fishbowl club in New York City in 2019. He was 20-year-old back then.
This accusation comes when the high-profile lawyer Lisa Bloom confirmed that she is representing as many as eleven men with misconduct allegations against Wang. "I completely froze," the student told BBC while describing the incident.
Claiming that Wang sexually assaulted him while dancing at the night club, he further added, "All of a sudden he unzipped my trousers, put his hands in my pants and started grabbing my penis in front of a bunch of people. I completely froze. I felt weirded out... and removed myself from the situation as fast as possible."
Denying these allegations, 37-year-old Wang said that the accusations were "false, fabricated and mostly anonymous."
He added, "these baseless allegations were started on social media by sites which repeatedly disregarded the value and importance of evidence or fact-checking."
Alexander Wang had earlier issued a statement denying every accusation of sexual misconduct he has ever faced saying, "Seeing these lies about me being perpetuated as truths has been infuriating."
This is not the first time that Wang is facing allegations of sexually inappropriate behaviour. A 28-year-old accused him of allegedly grabbing his crotch at a nightclub in New York in 2017. A British model shared on TikTok that the 37-year-old designer had groped him in the same year. A 24-year-old DJ described a similar encounter with the designer on Facebook.
One of the accusers claimed that their transgender friend was once offered a bottle of water by Alexander Wang which was allegedly spiked with MDMA. Another alleged survivor also accused Wang of drugging two of their other friends in 2014. Many anonymous accusers claimed that Wang allegedly drugged them with MDMA before sexually assaulting them at various parties.
