It is a year of celebrity babies, this morning the Ambani family welcomed a new member. Shloka and Akash are now parents and that makes Mukesh and Nita Ambani proud grandparents. The couple got engaged in June 2018 and married in March last year in a gala affair at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai attended by politicians, Bollywood, businessmen and cricketers and who's who of the country.
Ambani family spokesperson in a formal statement announced, “With the grace and blessings of Lord Krishna, Shloka and Akash Ambani became proud parents of a baby boy today in Mumbai. Nita and Mukesh Ambani are delighted to become grandparents for the first time, as they welcomed the great-grandson of Dhirubhai and Kokilaben Ambani. Both mother and son are doing well. The new arrival has brought immense joy to the entire Mehta and Ambani families.”
Akash Ambani is the eldest son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani. Shloka Mehta is the daughter of diamond magnate Russel Mehta and Mona. Mukesh Ambani, and his wife Nita Ambani have three children. Akash and Isha are twins, and Anant Ambani is who is 25-year-old.
Here’s all you need to know about Shloka Mehta:
- Akash and Shloka both went to Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai. They have been close friends for years as the Ambanis and Mehtas know each other well, reports said.
- After schooling, Shloka went to Princeton University to study anthropology. After graduation in 2013, she did her masters in law and anthropology at the London School of Economics and got a degree in 2014.
- Having two elder sisters and one brother — Shloka is the youngest daughter of Russell and Mona Mehta. The family business, Rosy Blue, was earlier known as “B Arunkumar & Co”. The firm has branches in 12 countries, including Belgium, Israel, Japan, the US and China.
- Shloka is a fitness freak as well and likes to stay healthy by doing exercise and yoga. She loves animals.
2020 will remain a milestone year for the Ambanis.
