Woman Blaming Actor Ajith For Job Loss Attempts Suicide In Front Of His Chennai Home

Ajith woman suicide case: A woman, alleging Kollywood actor Ajith was responsible for her unemployment and reportedly dejected over not being able to meet him, attempted self-immolation in front of his Chennai residence Monday. According to reports, the woman claimed Ajith and his wife did not help her get her job back. A video of the controversy has gone viral on social media.

Identified as one Farzana, the woman was a nurse at a private hospital in Teynampet, a busy commercial area in Tamil Nadu. Last year, Farzana reportedly took videos of Ajith and his wife Shalini when the couple was on a visit to the hospital. She had uploaded the clips on social media, where they went viral.

The incident had led to the termination of Farzana's service at the hospital. As per reports, she had appealed to Ajith and Shalini for help in the restoration of her job but a solution could not be worked out.

On October 4, Farzana reportedly reached Ajith's house with another woman around afternoon. In ">viral videos of the incident, the woman dressed in green is seen engaging with police personnel surrounding her. She attempts to show them certain papers before officials tackle her down to the road as she tries to struggle against them.

An official is also seen pouring water on Farzana to prevent her from dying by suicide. She was counselled, sent home and no case was registered against her, according to Indian Express. 

As per reports earlier this year from Times of India, Ajith had agreed to pay the school fee for Farzana's child after she reached out to him for help post her sacking. The Viswasam actor could not assist her in getting her job back since there were other issues between her and the hospital management.
