Aishwarya Rai celebrated her 49th birthday on November 1, 2022, and to make her special day even more special, her husband and actor Abhishek Bachchan posted a sweet wish for her on social media. The couple has been married for 15 years and is one of Bollywood's power couples.

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan got married on April 20, 2007, and have a daughter named Aaradhya Bachchan. In 1994, Aishwarya Rai won the title of Miss World and joined the entertainment industry. Her first commercial success was a Tamil film released in 1998 named Jeans. In the same year, she made her Hindi film debut with the movie Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya and went on to give many hit movies like Devdas, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Mohabbatein. Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan, the son of Bollywood legends Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, debuted in 2000 with Refugee.

Abhishek Bachchan's Special Wish On Aishwarya Rai Birthday

On November 1, Abhishek Bachchan took to his Instagram account and posted an old black and white picture of Aishwarya Rai and wrote, "Happy Birthday, wifey! Love, light, peace and eternal success." The couple met on the sets of the film Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke in 2000. They did another film in 2003 which was made by Rohan Sippy and titled Kuch Naa Kaho. During this time, the two were not a couple but very close friends.

However, things took a romantic turn when they did their third film together, Umrao Jaan, in 2005 and 2006. Their dynamics changed and by 2007, while Abhishek Bachchan was in New York for a shoot, all he could think of was proposing to her on the balcony of his hotel room. And when he did, she said yes and the couple tied the knot on April 20, 2007. On November 16, 2011, the couple welcomed their first child, daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.

On the work front, Aishwarya Rai was last seen in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyan Selvan-I. She is currently busy filming for her next film starring Rajnikanth which is titled Jailer and is scheduled to release in 2023. She will also be reportedly seen in the remake of 1964 Hindi film Wo Kaun Thi.
