A mall security guard in Ahmedabad has been booked for allegedly raping a 30-year-old woman. The survivor lodged the complaint at the Adalaj police station in Gandhinagar. As per the police, the accused rented a room for the stay of the woman and later, in the same room, he allegedly raped the woman on multiple occasions.

"On January 13, she alleged that the accused first raped her and then beat her up. After that, she took her salary and left for her native town in MP, as per her complaint which was forwarded to us by the Women police station of Bhopal."
A senior police officer at the Adalaj police station said, “The victim has stated in her complaint that she had come to Ahmedabad in December last year and the accused had gotten her a job at a shopping centre and a room to stay. She further alleged that she was forced to form a sexual relationship with the accused. On January 13, she alleged that the accused first raped her and then beat her up. After that, she took her salary and left for her native town in MP, as per her complaint which was forwarded to us by the Women police station of Bhopal. Due action will be taken in this case and the accused will soon be arrested”.
As per The Times of India, the women, a resident of Niwari district of Madhya Pradesh, came to Gandhinagar in December 2019. She started working at the mall in Sughad in December at a salary of Rs 15,000. She met the accused at the mall. The 35-year-old accused, Chotu Singh is the native of Banda, Uttar Pradesh.

Ahmedabad Police arrested a 41-year-old man for allegedly raping a two-and-a-half-year-old girl on January 4, 2020. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Crime Branch Deepan Bhadran said, "Police have arrested one person in connection with the rape of a two and a half-year-old girl. The girl had gone missing from her house on December 28 last year."
The accused was a security guard at a private company and lived near the victim's house. On December 28, 2019, the accused lured the minor victim. He took her on his motorcycle to a deserted spot where he raped her.
The girl was recovered from the deserted spot in an injured condition by a passerby who informed the police. As per the ZeeNews, based on technical surveillance and CCTV footage, the police found out that the bike belonged to the security guard who was then arrested by the Ahmedabad Crime Branch.
