A Desperate Gesture Turns Fatal

Within minutes, the live-in partners were arguing about his drinking habits, which worsened when Rani threatened suicide by jumping in front of a train. Despite Kishore's attempts to walk away from her threats, she directed him to Raja Ki Mandi station. After arriving at the station, the two sat on chairs at Platform No. 2, where they continued their verbal argument. Following a dramatic turn of events,  Rani jumped onto the tracks, trying to scare Kishore.

Unaware of the impending Kerala Express, she was unable to walk back to the platform in time. As she tried to escape, she was struck by the train and ended up pinned between the train and the platform.

RPF outpost in charge Laxman Pachauri, along with constables, rushed Rani to SN Medical College after recovering her from under the train. Unfortunately, she succumbed as a result of her injuries while receiving hospital treatment. Inspector Samar Bahadur, in charge of the GRP Cantonment, stated that Rani's partner, Kishore, disclosed that she had a tragic past, including the loss of her first husband, Dharmendra, from excessive drinking. Rani and Kishore have been in a relationship for over a year.

Rani's father, Vinod, received information about the incident. He informed the police that Rani has three sons from her previous marriage. Two of her children lived with her, while the eldest son lived apart. Inspector Bahadur said that Rani's body had been sent for a post-mortem.

"As of now, no formal complaint has been lodged, but further action will be taken once a complaint is received,"  Inspector Bahadur said in a statement.
