A woman was found dead inside her rented accommodation in Rohini, where she was residing with her live-in partner. The incident is said to occur on 30 December.
According to police, A 36-year-old woman was found dead in her room on the second floor of a building in Mangolpur Kalan village. Rohini South police station received the tip on Friday, following which policemen reached the spot.
Agra Woman Found Dead, Police Filed Case
The woman was a resident of Agra in Uttar Pradesh and officials in the initial investigation revealed that the woman was living in the house with a man, who is also a native of Agra, also believed to be her live-in partner for over 10 days.
The house owner informed police that the man was last seen around 6.30 pm on 29 December, Thursday, thereafter he has not been seen. The police officer said that owner when on Friday morning came to the second floor, he found the door of the woman's room partially open and her body motionless. No external injury mark was found on the body during the inspection.
Police also tried to track the live-in partner, but he was missing from the house and his phone was switched off. Police contacted the deceased woman's former spouse, a resident of Shahdara. The couple got married in 2011 and had one son and two daughters,
Police said the spouse found out that she was living with a man in Delhi and suspected her of having an extra-marital affair for a very long time. Police have now filed a case under section 302 (murder) of the IPC at South Rohini police station. Police are investigating the case and looking to trap the deceased's live-in partner, also the prime suspect. Reportedly, the accused man is said to be involved in two cases, including a dowry death, in Uttar Pradesh, as per the police.
