Agra constable viral video: A video of a woman constable posted in the Agra district of Uttar Pradesh flaunting a revolver has gone viral on social media. The cop showed off a revolver and posted the video on her Instagram account. The cop in uniform has been identified as Priyanka Mishra, who is seen lip-syncing the song Rangbaazi in the video.
After the video went viral, Agra’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) ordered a probe and told reporters that the woman constable clearly violated the code of conduct followed by the UP police.
The 37-second-long viral video shows the lady constable in uniform, glorifying crime in Uttar Pradesh. She can be seen smiling while lip-syncing the song that says: Haryana and Punjab might have earned a bad reputation for crime but come to Uttar Pradesh we will show what is called ‘Rangbaazi', which means influence. Later, the dialogue says: Here (in Uttar Pradesh), kids as young as five use guns. While police are further investigating the matter, she was transferred to police lines, TOI reported.
Mishra reportedly posted the video on August 21 and it has now been deleted. Netizens subsequently started slamming the Uttar Pradesh police over the video. However, the cop's followers reportedly are increasing after the stunt. She is a constable deployed at MM gate police station. As per some reports, she does not have a service revolver allotted to her by the department and Agra Police have initiated an inquiry into the matter.
