Scooby-Doo Reunion Special is on the way as announced by the CW which will dive into the legacy of the famous show and entertain the fans with yet another mystery to solve.
After the much-anticipated FRIENDS Reunion, the CW is coming up with a Scooby-Doo Reunion Special later this year. The reunion will be celebrating the show’s legacy and will also give an interesting mystery to its viewers just like the old times.
The creator Hanna-Barbera introduced the world to the mystery gang in 1969 which became one of the longest-running franchise of Warner Bros.
The mystery gang – Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and beloved Scooby-Doo will be reuniting at the Warner Bros. Lot to discuss the legacy as they talk about their memorable cases. The special will also feature a mystery case and the gang will be seen back in action after all these years, driving the fans down a memory lane.
The special will be produced by Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Bros. Unscripted Television teams in association with Warner Horizon and Abominable Pictures with Jonathan Stern as the executive producer.
As mentioned by The Warp, the Scooby-Doo Reunion Special will be aired on the CW. The release date is yet to be announced by the team.
Over the years, the Scooby-Doo franchise has seen many adaptations with the latest live-action movie Scoob! released last year. The plot described the secret legacy of Scooby-doo as well as unleashes a ghost dog Cerberus with an apocalypse.
From animated series to R-rated movies, the franchise has always come around to entertain generations with its interesting mysteries and engaging plots.
Along with the Scooby Reunion, the CW also announced Legends of Tomorrow Christmas Special and a movie revolving around the Waltons.
Earlier this year, HBO Max also announced a prequel to Scooby-Doo, Velma which will focus on the mystery-solving character of Velma Dinkley. Velma will tell, “the origin story of Velma Dinkley, the unsung and underappreciated brains of the Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc. gang", said HBO Max. The series will be produced by Mindy Kaling.
