Actor Rakul Preet Singh informed fans and followers on social media that she has tested positive for COVID-19. The 30-year-old took to social media to share the news on Tuesday, mentioning that she has quarantined herself and is now "feeling fine." The Yaariyan actor has requested those who came in contact with her recently to get tested. According to reports, Singh had been shooting for her upcoming film titled Mayday, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn.
Singh, on the news of her contracting COVID-19, wrote, "I am feeling fine and will rest up well so that I can be back at shoot soon. Request everyone who met me to kindly get yourself tested. Thankyou and Please stay safe."

Other Celebrities Who Were COVID-Positive
Bachchan, Singh's Mayday co-star, had also contracted COVID-19 earlier this year, along with son Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and granddaughter Aaradhya. The 78-year-old had recovered in Mumbai's Nanavati hospital in July.
It was reported recently that veteran actor Neetu Kapoor had also tested positive for coronavirus, alongside Jug Jugg Jeeyo co-star Varun Dhawan and director Raj Mehta. Kriti Sanon, who was last shooting in Chandigarh, also tested COVID-positive and recovered in December.

Rakul Preet Singh In Recent News
Rakul Preet Singh, earlier this year, was named in the drug probe related to actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death. She had been summoned by the NCB for questioning. The television news coverage of the incident had been slammed by Singh, who had proceeded to file a case against several channels in court. Recently, the News Broadcasting Standards Authority (NBSA) ruled in her favour and directed channels Zee News, Zee 24, Zee Hindustani to air an apology to the actor on December 17. Read more here.
