North-east Delhi's cyber police department detained a man for reportedly using the persona of Spanish actor Manu Rios to ensnare young girls online. Abbuzar Rehman, the defendant age 22, allegedly sought to extort money while threatening to reveal the girls' photos.

On Monday, the accused was taken into custody, according to the reports. He is accused of extorting money from the complainant and threatening to make her photos popular on social media, according to a complaint that was filed with the Cyber police station via the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Cyber Crime reporting system. A case was opened at PS Cyber North and an investigation was started as a result of the complaint.
In addition to two mobile phones, the accused also had three SIM cards and one memory card that were utilised to commit the crime. The police discovered that the defendant introduced himself to the complainant as a little-known Spanish actor and that she later became his buddy and exchanged some of her personal photos with him. Rehman began berating her for money and threatening to go viral with her photo on social media. Rehman created a phone ID of the complainant using one of her personal images and shared it with her to scare her when she refused to comply with his requests.

The research yielded information on the purported Instagram profiles. The cell number and IMEI number used in the offence were discovered via these IP addresses, and the identification of the alleged offender was established, according to the police.

"He then got in touch with the complainant and requested that she provide her images.
