A 21 Year Old Girl Was Shot To Death In Daylight : 6 Things To Know

On Monday morning in Uttar Pradesh, two guys on a motorbike shot and killed a woman who was going home after appearing for a college exam in the Jalaun district. The perpetrators escaped after leaving the gun at public traffic crossing only 200 meters from the local police station. One person has been detained and questioned by the police but the accused are yet to be arrested. FIR has been filed against the perpetrators.

• The woman is identified as Roshni Ahirwar, a 21-year-old BA student.
• She was heading home from the Ram Lakhan Patel Mahavidyalaya just after the exam at about 11 a.m. That is when two men on a Bajaj Pulsar motorbike stopped her, brandishing a country-made pistol.
• Roshni died on the spot after being shot in the head by one of them.
• Some social media users have questioned the state's law and order situation, as this comes just two days after feared gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed was fatally shot in front of TV cameras in Prayagraj, much to the humiliation of the police and administration.
• Police claimed that one of the culprits is Raj Ahirwar who had been in a relationship with Roshni but things didn't work out and she broke up. As per the parents of the deceased, Ahirwar was furious about the same. He is arrested and detained further however another accused is still on aloof.
• According to Jalaun Superintendent of Police Dr. Iraj Raja, the deceased was a BA second-year student coming back home after college. "We are attempting to apprehend the culprits, and they will be detained shortly. We have discovered a substantial amount of material and are conducting an investigation "He had previously stated.
