Mumbai: Woman Abused For Opposing Busting Firecrackers

She approached the children, including a 30-year-old man named Pradeep Phating, with the intent of preserving the tranquillity of the night. The woman urged the group to cease their firecracker celebrations, emphasising the importance of coexisting harmoniously with neighbours who might be sensitive to the noise and smoke.

Phating fled the scene, leaving the woman with injuries that served as a grim reminder of the lengths to which disagreements over tradition and peaceful coexistence can escalate.
