The video for Veham, a new single by Armaan Malik that stars Sakshi Malik and Asim Riaz, dropped on December 14. A love track presented by Bhushan Kumar and T-Series, Veham had been creating a lot of buzz since its teaser released over the weekend. Now, within hours of the song's release, the video has already amassed a whopping 450K views on YouTube. Much is known about Riaz, a model noted for being the first runner-up on the television show Bigg Boss 13.
Here are five things to know about Sakshi Malik, who stars opposite him in the Veham video:
1. Sakshi Malik is a model and fitness influencer, known for her workout tutorials on social media. With over 5 million followers on Instagram, she has been named as a top social media star on many counts. She first gained prominence for featuring in the music video Bom Diggy Diggy from the 2018 film Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, alongside Kartik Aaryan and Sunny Singh.
2. Malik, according to her social media channels, has a degree in B.Tech from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT). Evident from her Instagram, she takes a keen interest in travel, fashion, and modelling.
3. Her YouTube channel, started in November this year, features several instructional yoga and workout videos. About the channel, she writes, "My channel will guide you through different fitness programmes which will keep you in shape and I will be posting regularly to keep you guys motivated. Not to mention, I'll be posting some travel vlogs as well."
4. Sharing the teaser for Veham on social media, Malik had written, "My upcoming song is dedicated to those who could never express their true feelings. Watch the teaser, it’s going to be special. #Veham releasing on 14th December, stay tuned!"
5. The new song Veham, featuring her, is themed around one-sided love on the part of Riaz who is in love with Malik (as Juhi). Oblivious to his feelings, she lets him be known that he is her best friend. Several heartbreaks and a tragedy later, Juhi dies, leaving behind Riaz, who vows to love her despite their eternal separation.
